A master's thesis at the University of Basra discusses the effect of conocarpus leaves extracts on medicinal plants

A master’s thesis in the College of Science, Department of Life Sciences, University of Basra, discussed (the effect of extracts of the leaves of Conocarpus lancifolius Engl. on two types of medicinal plants), and the thesis of the researcher (Lina Abdullah Kazem) showed its importance for medicinal plants. The study aims at the effect of water and alcoholic extracts on two types of medicinal plants.  Medicinal plants and knowledge of the chemical composition of the extracts of the leaves of the conocarpus plant and the two medicinal plants The study concluded that the extracts of the leaves of the conocarpus plant contributed to stimulating the increase in the length of the plumule and radical and the increase in the speed oحf germination and the increase in the wet and dry weight of the treated plants. The water and alcohol extracts of the leaves of the conocarpus plant contain many compounds of medical importance. It showed effects on the chemical composition of the two medicinal plants.  The study recommended attention and pruning to prevent the extension of the roots. Take advantage of the leaves that have been trimmed by making extracts from them and extracting compounds that have medical and industrial importance.
