The University of Basrah hold a seminar on Oxide-based thermoelectric power generation

A seminar entitled Oxide-based thermoelectric power generation modules using p-type (ZnO)x(CuO)1-x and n-type (ZnO)mIn2O3 nanostructured materials ( hold at the College of Science, Department of physices.

The presenter Nisreen Ghaze demonstrates the most important objectives of study Preparation of a P-type material consisting of zinc oxide (ZnO) in addition to copper oxide (CuO) with the following formula (ZnO) x (CuO) 1-x, where x represents the following ratios( x = 0.5, 0.55, 0.6, 0.65, 0.7, 0.75), and then prepare an n-type material consisting of zinc oxide (ZnO) in addition to indium oxide (In2O3) with the following formula (ZnO)mIn2O3, where m represents the following ratios (2,3,4,5,6 and 7). Using the solid state reaction method, then studying its structural properties through measurements (XRD, SEM, EDX) and studying its thermoelectric properties by measuring electrical conductivity, Hall effect, Seebak coefficient and power factor. Then the proportions that give the best results are selected for the manufacture of a thermoelectric device.
