A master thesis defense discusses some new hydrazine derivatives

The university of Basrah, College of Science, Dept. of chemistry has organized a master thesis defense entitled " Preparation and characterization of
some new hydrazine derivatives and study of some of their application" presented by Lina Ali Yaseen.

The scientist explained that This study includes the preparation of a series of new pyrazole derivatives (Py1,…, Py8) through the prepared hydrazine derivatives (Hy1,…,Hy4) reaction using two methods, the first mediated by reflux and the second by microwave.

The study also included testing the biological activity of elozaryp and hydrazine compounds prepared as lrinlaare-rtna at two concentrations (500 and 1000 µg/ml), as the hydrazine compounds did not show the effectiveness of inhibiting Gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, while the pyrazole compounds derived from the corresponding hydrazine showed a relatively high inhibition activity against bacteria, positive and negative gramstaining. The ability of pyrazole compounds to inhibit MCF7 breast cancer cells was also tested, as it showed a relatively weak susceptibility to this type of cancer.
