The Department of Geology, College of Science, discussed a master's thesis entitled (fossil, sedimentary and stratigraphic successive study of the Yamama formation in selected wells from southern Iraq). Researcher Rana Tahseen Kazem’s thesis aims to prepare a sedimentary study of the rocks of the Yamama Formation based on thin slices in order to determine the sedimentary environment, study the morphological processes and study the stratigraphic sequence of the formation using microfacies distribution and interpretation of well probes, in addition to drawing the sedimentary model of the Yamama Formation containing all sedimentation environments .
