The lecturer in the Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra, Dr. Abd al-Ridha Akbar Alwan, received a letter of thanks and appreciation from the office of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

A book of thanks came to the lecturer for authoring and editing the book Atlas of Palm Varieties and Dates.
