Master Thesis at Basraha University to be discussed Immunotherapeutic role of interleukin 17 against microbial eye infections.

A master’s thesis at the faculty of sciences, department of biology at the University of Basraha immunotherapeutic role of interleukin 17 against microbial eye infections, and showed the researcher’s thesis Israa Asaad Azeez . thesis aims to Isolation of bacterial and fungal microbes from eye infections and diagnosis of all bacterial and fungal isolates obtained from microbial eye infections. Interleukin-17 concentration was measured in patients' serum. The use of lysozyme and interleukin-17 was verified as immunotherapy agents against isolated microbial pathogens compared to commonly used antibiotics, and concluded Both types of positive and negative bacteria are threatening to the tissues of the eye, and it was found that the bacteria of the genus Kocuria are dominant, and the fungal infection is no less dangerous than the bacterial infection. It was also concluded that the concentration of interleukin 17 increases in bacterial infections as well, and recommended those concerned with eye injuries should be aware that keratitis can threaten vision through complications of infection when the correct diagnosis is not made. She also emphasized the importance of not taking treatment without a prescription. Extensive studies were also emphasized on the use of interleukin-17 as an immunotherapy in the future.
