The Department of Chemistry at the College of Science organized, within a series of weekly lectures, a scientific lecture entitled) Integrated management for irrigation and fertilization under protected cultivation(, delivered by Dr. Mohamed Said Mohamed Ahmed. The lecturer aimed to know the special expirations which using in calculation of irrigation requirements in trickle irrigation system. Besides, to know the important of fertilization process for protected cultivation plants. How to implement the integrated management for irrigation and fertilization and recognize nutrients deficit symptoms on cultivated plants.

The lecture include explain the importance of irrigation and fertilization process under protected cultivation condition. To know how I can estimate the irrigation requirements by accurate and scientific approaches to be suitable for water scarcity conditions which is dominated all over the world especially, Arab countries. Besides, to know the suitable fertilization program for protected cultivation crops. To know the expression of integrated management for irrigation and fertilization and how to successfully applicate which led to rationalization of water and fertilizers consumption. So that led to reduce the expenditures and save the environment from pollution because using the over doses of chemical fertilizers.
