The Department of Chemistry at the College of Science organized, within a series of weekly lectures, a scientific lecture entitled Separation Methods in Analytical Chemistry, delivered by Dr. Hamsa Munam Yaseen. The lecturer aimed to learn the methods of separation, the basics of its classification, types and explain the basis of each of them and their applications. The Separation methods have gained great importance for their ability to remove impurities and interferences, which affect the completion of quantitative and qualitative analysis of analyst. These methods transform a single-phase system into a two-phase system, in which the analyst exists in one of them, while the interferences stay in the other phase.
