A lecturer at the College of Science participates in the First International Conference on Natural History

Dr. Shurooq Abdullah Najm, a lecturer in the Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra, participated in the first international conference on natural history and wildlife, which was held at the Natural History Museum at the University of Baghdad.

Participation in the preparation of the conference included as a member of the committee and resident among the members and delivering a research entitled survey of ladybird beetles from different host plants of agricultural system in Basra province.

The research aims to survey and diagnose different types of ladybirds, which were collected from several plant hosts and for different areas of Basra Governorate and two sites from the eastern Hammar marsh, the study concluded that there are 4 different genera of ladybirds and 6 species
