The College of Science at the University of Basrah organized a seminar entitled (Iraqi fish species in the Arabian Gulf) by the graduate student ( PhD) Adil Fadhil Abbas. The discussion session included an explanation of the general characteristics of the Arabian Gulf in addition to the Iraqi marine fish species and their main groups, and a comparison between the total fish diversity recorded in the Arabian Gulf with the Iraqi marine fish diversity.
