Lecturers from the Geology Department, College of Science at University of Basrah, Dr. Mowaffaq Fadel Jaber, Dean of the College of Science, Dr. Sattar Jabbar Al-Khafaji, Dr. Safa Hussain Ali, Dr. Wathiq Ghazi Abdulnabi and Dr. Ajeal Suween Yassin participated in the first International Geological Conference (GEO Iraq) in cooperation with the University of Tikrit and Sulaymaniyah for the period 25- November 28, 2021. A large number of Iraqi geologists from all Iraqi governorates participated in this conference. The conference included a field scientific trip in the mountains of Sulaymaniyah Governorate. Dr. Sattar Jabbar Al-Khagaji and Dr. Ajeal Sween participated in a scientific research within the geochemistry and mineral axis entitled The Reality of Mineral Resources in Iraq, Zurbatiya area (case study).
