The Department of Pathological Analysis at the college of Science of Basra University organized an online scientific lecture on Covid-19 in Iraq, an epidemiological comparison.

The lecture was intended to give an overview of the COVID-19 pandemic in Iraq and to compare the epidemiological profile with a number of countries.

The lecture was given by Dr. Imran Sukkar Habib,  the Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies at Al-Maqal University. The lecture included a review of basic concepts and epidemiological outcomes related to
COVID-19 in Iraq, with examples compared to a number of countries in the Eastern Mediterranean Region and other countries.
The lecture urged for the need to intensify preventive practices, especially wearing masks, social distance and immunization, as well as supporting scientific research specialized in the pandemic
