Dr. Abdulridha A. Alwan and Dr. Widad M.T. Al-Asadi from Department of Ecology- College of Science at Basrah University published a book entitled “Atlas of Dates and date palm Varieties”. The book aims to providing basic information about the date palm’s economic, nutritional, environmental and social importance, clarify the basic methods of propagating date palm trees and establishing orchards, providing identification keys to separate the varieties present in countries famous for palm cultivation.
