A seminar entitled Use of Conocarpus lancifolius Engl.& Diels As evidence of pollution in Basrah Governorate

The presenter Howra Hassan Nasser demonstrate the prominent role of trees and plants in the process of environmental purification.

The study aimed to determining the importance of Conocarpus Lancifolius in the accumulation of pollutants and comparing it with some trees grown in the study area.

The studies concluded most of the soils of Basra Governorate suffer from severe contamination with heavy metals, especially cadmium and lead.
