A seminar in University of Basrah titled Engineering and hydrological study to assessment selected sites of the Al-Massab Al-Aam River (Southern Sector) held in the College of Science in Geology Department,  The researcher Waleed Hameed Asad Demonstrated the most important objectives of study by assessment the geotechnical of southern slopes of the Al-Massab Al-Aam River, knowing the factors causing the failure and finding appropriate ways to address it through: Study the physical, engineering and chemical properties of the soil selected from the banks of the river along the study area. Study the hydrological and hydrochemical properties of water along the study area.
