The College of Science at University of Basra organized a seminar on the factors affecting the diversity and spread of aquatic plants. The presentar is the postgraduate student, Naglaa Hashem Adlan. The study aims to determine the standards quality of water in view of the presence of aquatic plants, assess the state of plant diversity and determind the relationship between environmental variables and their impact on aquatic plants. Also, the productivity of aquatic plants and other producers can be strongly affected by the dynamics of many chemical elements and physical factors. It is important to measure these factors to explain trends in productivity of aquatic plants, and to assess how beneficial aquatic plants are in reducing nutrient content and the level of water pollution.
