Seminar at the College of Science disscussed the sources and effects of  Soil pollutants in Basrah by the postgraduate student Fadiah Mushtaq. The study includeds discussion on hydrocarbon compounds, their characteristics, types and sources in the soil of Basrah. Also, it discuss their impact on the environment and living organisms, and a review of some studies conducted on pollution by hydrocarbons in Basrah.
