A PhD thesis at Basrah University to be discussed. (Molecular study of lysozyme resistant bacteria isolated from eye infection)

A Ph.D. dissertation defense was discussed in the College of Science at the University of Basrah entitled (Molecular study of lysozyme resistant bacteria isolated from eye infection and their ability to adhere on contact lenses) by the graduate student (Mohammed Abbas Mahdi).

the study aims to Determination the bacterial frequency of conjunctivitis and keratitis in patients wearing contact lens comparing with non-contact lens wearers, The study included Detection of lysozyme resistant bacteria, Genetically and biochemically detection of biofilm forming bacteria. The study recommended  use suitable antibiotic for eye infection should be detected by susceptibility test before use, More studies to determine the relationship among lysozyme resistance alleles, conjunctivitis and keratitis and antibiotics resistant bacteria.
