The University of Basrah organizes a seminar entitled (Bacteria and dental infection)

 

The College of Science at the University of Basrah organized a seminar entitled (The role of Staphylococcus aureus in dental infection) by the graduate student Sadiq Oda Hattab. The study aims Defining the role of Staphylococcus aureus in dental infection and its resistance to antibiotics (methicillin) and included the definition of Staphylococcus aureus and how it is transmitted to patients through several methods such as touching, tattooing and using personal hygiene methods. The seminar also included how it resists antibiotics such as methicillin through the enzyme beta-lactase and the formation of biofilm, which is a thin, sticky layer of bacteria that sticks to the surfaces of the mouth such as the tongue, gums and teeth.
