The College of Sciences discussed a seminar on (assessing the water quality of east Al-Hammar marsh using the Canadian index (WQI-CCME)) by postgraduate student (Zainab Ali Ahmed).A seminar also Evaluating of east Al-Hammar Marsh with organic matter using organic pollution index( OPI) . The trophic status were assessed using TSI and TRIX indices .The study concluded that the marsh water is not suitable for drinking, irrigation, or public uses, and it fell into the fifth category (Poor). The study also dealt with the fact that marsh water with a low-medium level of organic pollution and poor nutritional status( Oligotrophic) .The study recommended the need to use indices of water quality and Pollution in assessing the quality of the marsh water and giving a clear picture to the public and decision-makers whom non-specialist in the field of environment .
