The Women’s Affairs Unit, in collaboration with the Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Science, organized a breast cancer awareness campaign for "Pink October." The event was attended by Dr. Adel Ali Abdul-Hassan, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies; Dr. Adnan Abdullah Hamad, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs; members of the Women’s Affairs Committee; and a number of female faculty members and students from the college.

The campaign educated attendees on the causes of breast cancer and the methods used for its diagnosis.

It also featured a series of posters that addressed common misconceptions about breast cancer and provided the correct, accurate information.
