As part of efforts to promote health awareness and foster a culture of prevention, the Department of biology Sciences at the College of Science, University of Basrah, has launched an awareness campaign in conjunction with "Pink October." The initiative aims to raise awareness among female students regarding breast cancer, highlighting the importance of early detection and its role in improving the chances of successful treatment and recovery.
The campaign covered the significance of regular breast self-examinations and identified key warning signs that warrant a medical consultation. It also emphasized the vital role of health education in encouraging preventive behaviors and reducing the risks associated with the disease.
