The college of science at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on the relationship between oil leaching and geological structures and the seminar aimed to identify the most important geological structures responsible for the leaching of oil to the surface of the Earth. The seminar in which the teachers attended included A. M. Dr. Hanan Abdulkader Darwish and M. M.  Fadia Walid Majid gave a brief presentation on the phenomenon of oil seepage to the Earth's surface, which is an important geological indicator that is directly related to the internal structure of sedimentary basins and tectonic structures and elements that determine the transmission paths of hydrocarbons.
