The College of Science at University of  Basrah organized a seminar on treating contaminated wastewater using biological technologies

aimed  this seminar  represented by the MSc. student Rawaa Rheem Yali on isolated bacteria from waste water and soil contaminated by hydrocarbons  and cheked  the nanoparticals produced from bacteria with identified this particals by 
  Ultraviolet light for analysis, FTIR and FTIR for analysis, and nanoparticles in wastewater treatment.

  The episode dealt with an introduction to nanotechnology and the ability of bacteria and fungi to produce nanoparticles.
  The seminar dealt with water pollution, sources of pollution and its effects on the environment, and types of treatments for wastewater treatment
