Dr. Makiyah Mahlal Khalaf, a faculty member in the Department of Ecology, participated in a meeting organized by the Women's Affairs Department at the University of Basrah.
The meeting, attended by representatives from various university centers and colleges, involved discussions on future programs and activities focused on women. Participants exchanged proposals and ideas and discussed mechanisms for cooperation and coordination between the Women's Affairs Department and the representatives of colleges and centers, aiming to develop purposeful programs and events that meet women's needs and support their role in society.
The meeting recommended organizing diverse activities centered on women across cultural, social, and developmental fields—initiatives designed to support their potential and talents while enhancing their participation in university and community events.
