An article by a faculty member at the College of Science, University of Basra, on air pollution in Basra has been published

Mr. Mu'taz Hikmat Othman, a faculty member in the Department of Ecology at the College of Science, University of Basra, published an article entitled "Air Pollution in Basra: A Patient in Intensive Care, An Environmental Study." The article included a detailed explanation of air pollution in Basra and how it is measured using mobile and fixed devices to determine air quality based on internationally recognized indicators.

The article emphasized that monitoring air quality is crucial not only for environmental health and cleanliness but also for reducing costs for the general public by addressing the problem and minimizing pollutants before the need arises for hospitals and doctors.

The article was published by the Iraqi news agency "Sky," which summarized recommendations for raising environmental awareness to maintain air quality, in cooperation with media outlets and relevant departments in the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Health.
