A master's thesis at the Faculty of Science at the University of Basrah titled "Molecular Investigation of Some Toxin Genes in Pseudomonas Species Isolates from Clinical Samples", showed the researcher's thesis, Adyan Kareem Abd, the isolation and antibiotic susceptibility evaluation of bacteria. The thesis aims to identify the prevalence of toxin genes and toxin-antitoxin systems, concluded an 88% widespread of multidrug-resistant bacteria, particularly in burn infections, and recommended routine susceptibility testing and strict hospital infection control policies.
