The College of Science in the Department of Geology discussed a master's thesis titled Petrophysical Analysis of Yamama Formation in the Faihaa Oil Field Southern Iraq for postgraduate student Zuhoor Jawad Younis the thesis aims to study the petrophysical properties of the Yamama formation in Faihaa field, Yamama formation has been divided into four main reservoir units (YA, YB, YC, YD) based on the well log analyized and through the interpretation of the petrophysical properties and adopted the artificial intelligence network technology ANN in predicting the rock type, reservoir quality, and gross reservoir through training the above logs, and the results showed the high matching of this technique by predicting the electrofacies with an accuracy of more than 80% and a convergence between the predicted results and the actual results.
