The University of Basrah Hosts a Panel Discussion on Rectangular Patch Antennas

The Department of Physics at the College of Science, University of Basrah, organized a panel discussion titled “Rectangular Patch Antennas for Wireless Communications,” presented by graduate student Zainab Hussein Ali and attended by several faculty members and graduate students.

The study aimed to design a rectangular patch antenna for wireless communication applications, incorporating modifications using slits and base notches to improve antenna performance.

The seminar included a presentation on mechanisms for improving bandwidth and gain, as well as the implementation and simulation of the design using HFSS software, due to its accuracy in analyzing antenna characteristics and evaluating their performance in modern wireless communication applications.
