The University of Basrah hosts a seminar on the Tensor Fields of Locally Conformal Almost Contact Metric Manifolds

The College of Science, Department of Mathematics, discussed a seminar titled "The Tensor Fields of Locally Conformal Almost Contact Metric Manifolds" for postgraduate student Mohammed H. Taha. This seminar aimed to introduce the concept of a smooth manifold with an example. It also presented the concepts of tensor fields, forms of degree  r∈Z+⋃{0}  and their behavior under the action of the exterior differentiation. Moreover, the definition of a Riemannian manifold is given with an illustrative example. The seminar showed that the contraction of the Riemannian curvature tensor yields the Ricci tensor, which is significant in determining Einstein manifolds. Furthermore, the concept of an almost contact metric manifold and its special subclass (C12-manifold) was introduced.
