The Department of Ecology at the College of Science, University of Basra, organized a seminar on plant coagulants and plant technologies as green sustainability tools for treating water pollutants.
The seminar, presented by Master's student Hatem Karim Jassim, aimed to highlight the importance of using biocoagulants and plant technologies in water sustainability.
The seminar covered an introduction to water scarcity and pollution, sources of pollution, the importance of water sustainability, and the difference between chemical and biological treatment using plant coagulants and plant-based treatment from a sustainability perspective.
The seminar also addressed the sources of biocoagulants, their mechanism of action, their active groups, and the factors affecting their use in treating polluted water.
