Basrah University organizes a seminar on geological mapping and interpretation

The seminar aimed to introduce geological mapping and analysis to create two-and three-dimensional models of the geological structure of an area, emphasizing that the geological map is the most valuable tool for understanding complex data, through its ability to transform data into a visual representation that reveals hidden links and insights and indicate its role as a language of communication.
The seminar in which I attended included the teaching (M.Dr. Nagin Abdul Jalil Abdul Majid, m.M. Zainab Abbas Ajil) geological mapping is the process of collecting and analyzing field data to create a two-or three-dimensional model that explains the geological structure of the area. The seminar pointed out the importance of the geological map as the main language of communication between geologists and scientists, and explained that an experienced geologist uses the map not only to determine the locations of rocks, but to understand the three-dimensional structure of the Earth, the relationships between formations, geological history, the evolution of the natural landscape and finally the geological map can review the technological development ( referring to the modern development in this field through the use of advanced software).
