


The Women's Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit and the Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Science, University of Basra, organized a seminar entitled "Bacteria Isolated from Frozen Meat and Their Relationship to Miscarriages in Pregnant Women."
The seminar aimed to inform attendees about the types of bacteria that cause miscarriages, fetal poisoning, or stillbirth.
The seminar, presented by Ms. Noor Mahmoud Ahmed, a lecturer in the Department of Environmental Science, addressed methods of preventing infection, the most important symptoms associated with these types of bacteria, and methods of diagnosis and effective treatment.
The seminar recommended that pregnant women avoid fast meat, ensure meat is thoroughly cooked, and consult a doctor and undergo necessary tests if symptoms appear.
