The presidency of the University of Basrah, in a solemn central ceremony held at the university presidency building, celebrated its achievement of the third place at the level of Iraqi universities in the national ranking, under the patronage and presence of the University President, Prof. Dr. Mohannad Jawad Kazem al-Asadi, scientific assistant Dr. Haider Khazal Mahbas, and members of the University Council.

The ceremony was held in honor of the dean of the Faculty of Science, represented by its dean, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul-Imam Al-Riahi, and the heads of scientific departments, in appreciation of the achievement achieved by the college by obtaining advanced positions at the level of science faculties in all universities of Iraq.
