University of Basrah Organizes a Seminar on (The bioactivity of metabolic product against pathogenic bacteria)

The College of Science at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on (The Bioactivity of metabolic product produced by bacteria against pathogenic bacteria isolated from burns and wound infections) presented by graduate student Fatima Salem Abdul-Ridha. The study aimed to produce bacterial cellulose from bacteria isolated from oil wells. The study included the production, characterization, and modification of bacterial cellulose, its loading with an antibiotic, and an investigation of its effect on pathogenic bacteria. The study recommended further research into the physical and mechanical properties of cellulose and its potential applications in other medical fields.
