 Assistant Professor Dr. in the College of Science / Department of Biology at the University of Basrah, Dr. Hisham Faiadh ad Mohammad, was participated in the first annual founding meeting of members of the Supreme Council of the Arab Association for Materials Science and Nanotechnology, Iraq Branch, which is affiliated with the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils, representing the University of Basrah as a member of The Supreme Administrative committee, which was held in the Iraqi House of Wisdom located in Baghdad. The meeting participation aims to extend bridges of research work and scientific cooperation between the Arab Association for Materials Science and Nanotechnology - the Iraq branch, which is affiliated with the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils, and the University of Basrah as one liaison member of the Supreme Administrative committee with the aim of organizing scientific and research activities and discussing ways to enhance the spirit of one hand in the importance of teamwork and institutional integration between the Arab Association for Materials Science and Nanotechnology and the University of Basrah . Meeting topics: 
1. Discussion Organizational matters for holding the association’s first international conference, which is scheduled to be held in December of this year. 
2. Establishing a scientific journal for the association concerned with publishing scientific research and articles in the field of materials science and nanotechnology. 
3. Forming committees from members of the association in Egypt and Iraq to distribute tasks and responsibilities to the members of the supreme administrative body for the success of holding the conference.
