Based on the directives of the president of the University of Basrah, Dr. Mohannad Jawad Kazim, to pay attention to the requirements of the scientific departments and rehabilitation of gardens, under the supervision of the dean of the college of Science, Dr. Ali Abdul Imam Abdul Zahra, and under the auspices of the head of the Department of Geoscience, a glass lounge for students and a chapel for students were developed in the Department of geoscience at the Faculty of science to provide a better study and social environment. This project comes as part of the college's efforts to improve the university environment, provide places to relax and study for students, and provide the best opportunities to achieve academic success.
