Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem Al-Asadi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul-Amam Abdul-Zahra, and in the presence of the Head of the Physics Department, Prof. Dr. Wael Abdul-Latif Kademi, the Third Physics Department Conference for Graduate Students was held from December 1-2, 2025, under the slogan “Graduate Research: Our Goal for a Better Future” in the Dr. Rashid Al-Rashid Hall in the Physics Department.

The conference featured presentations by master's and doctoral students on the stages of development of their research and theses, which were discussed interactively by a specialized scientific committee, providing an important space to develop ideas and enhance the quality of research outputs.

The conference aimed to support a culture of scientific research, follow up on recent developments in physics, and highlight the role of science in serving society through the use of advanced research techniques and methods that advance science and humanity. The events concluded with the participating students being honored with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their scientific efforts and contributions to the success of the conference. The sessions were also attended by a large number of professors, researchers, and graduate students, reflecting the active academic environment at the University of Basrah.
