Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem Al-Asadi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Ali Abdul Imam Abdul Zahra, and the Head of the Physics Department, Prof. Wael Abdul Latif Kademi, the Physics Department opened its third conference for postgraduate student research, which will be held from 1-2 December 2025 in the Dr. Rashid Al-Rashid Hall.

The first day began with a recitation from the Holy Quran and the national anthem, followed by a speech by the scientific assistant to the Dean of the College of Science, who emphasized the conference's importance in promoting scientific research and fostering the exchange of experiences among researchers. The Head of the Physics Department, Dr. Wael Abdullatif Kadimi, also delivered a speech focusing on the conference's role in supporting graduate students and developing their research skills.

The conference aims to present and discuss master's theses and doctoral dissertations, and to develop contemporary research insights that advance physics and the use of modern technology to serve society.
