The Department of Pathological Analyses at the Faculty of Science at the University of Basra organized a scientific lecture on poisoning with heavy elements: the mechanism of action and diseases. 

The lecture aimed to introduce the toxicity and danger of heavy elements in general and focus on some elements that were directly related to diseases of varying severity, sometimes leading to the death of many human lives, in addition to identifying the mechanism of action, which is important to determine the path of these elements in the body and get rid of them completely.
