The Department of Pathological Analyses at the Faculty of Science at the University of Basra organized a scientific lecture on heat shock proteins and their role in human diseases. 

The lecture aimed to find out the functional role of heat shock proteins in the stability and survival of body cells after exposure to external stress factors and their role in the repair of proteins after changing their chemical nature.
  
The lecture, which was attended by Professor Dr. Hussein Abdul Saud, included 
 
Thermal shock proteins and their function in preventing many diseases that may arise from the aggregation of damaged proteins in the cytoplasm of cells by repairing these proteins and returning them to their normal function.
