The College of Science at the University of Basra held a seminar entitled "Promoting Mental Health in the University Environment: A Fundamental Pillar for Achieving Academic Success."

The seminar was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul Karim Zayer Al-Muzani\ College of Education for Humanities and Assistant Professor Dr. Intisar Jameel Hamad\ College of Science, Department of Life Sciences. The seminar aimed to educate students on how to overcome study difficulties and successfully complete their academic studies, especially during exam periods. It explained how to prioritize their studies while emphasizing the importance of maintaining their mental and physical health. The awareness also campaign focuses on the urgent need to educate and support the mental health of everyone working in the academic environment, including professors and students, to help them cope with the pressures of work and study within the academic environment, as well as the psychological pressures arising outside of it, which in turn affect their overall health.
