The study aims The current study aims to use phages as a strategy to control bacterial drug resistance as a safe and effective alternative to antibiotics.

 and included Environmental samples were collected from surfaces in Basra hospitals and cultured on bacterial media. The isolates were purified and identified using morphological and biochemical tests, then genetically confirmed through DNA extraction and sequencing. The sensitivity and resistance of the bacterial isolates to various antibiotics were then tested using PCR and DNA analysis. Samples were also collected from wastewater near hospitals to isolate bacteriophages, followed by isolation, purification, counting, and morphological analysis of the bacteriophages.
