The Department of Life Sciences today welcomed sixth-grade students for an enjoyable scientific trip to the algae laboratory.

The department's algae and plant science team provided the students with a simplified explanation about the types of algae and their natural habitats. The students also viewed microscopic slides of algae and learned about their shapes under a microscope.
