The collegeof science at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on the study of the petrophysical properties of the Yamama formation in the halafaya oil field, southern Iraq . The seminar presented by researcher Hussein Abdul-Amir Abdul-Wahid aimed to present a presentation explaining the results derived from the study of the Yamama formation in the halafaya oil field in southern Iraq, through a systematic analysis of the petrophysical properties in order to assess the quality of the reservoir and determine its production potential. The seminar also seeks to highlight the vital role of advanced analytical programs such as petrel, techlog and excel in the processing of petrophysical data, and their integration in professional ways that contribute to an in-depth understanding of the reservoir characteristics and improve the accuracy of assessment models. This, in turn, enhances support for Sustainable Development and production strategies in oil fields, and improving the efficiency of decision-making in the oil industry.
