The University of Basra regulates the relationship between BMI, obesity and visceral fat.

 

The Department of Pathological Analyses at the Faculty of Science at the University of Basra organized a scientific lecture on the relationship between BMI, obesity, and visceral fat.  
The lecture aimed to raise awareness on the health risks related to obesity 
The lecture, in which the lecturer present was Wasal Abdel Rahman Salem from the Faculty of Dentistry, basic sciences branch, included the definition of obesity and how it represents a pathological condition that leads to many disorders and diseases as a result of its great impact on various organs of the body due to excessive fat accumulation, especially obesity known as abdominal obesity and high body mass index 
The lecture recommended the need to adhere to healthy eating habits, avoid excessive predilection for ready-made foods, and increase physical activities such as walking and sports that reduce fat accumulation by burning stored fat.
