The College of Science organized a seminar on women and their role in first aid and rescue during peacetime and wartime

The Women's Affairs Unit at the College of Science, University of Basra, held a seminar on women and their role in first aid.

The seminar aimed to familiarize attendees with the historical role of women in first aid throughout the ages and how to apply it in times of peace and war to save lives before it is too late.

The workshop, presented by Farhan Laith Ayez from the College of Nursing at the University of Basra, covered the most important materials, tools, and medications contained in a first aid kit and their importance in alleviating pain and preventing the patient's condition from deteriorating before transferring them to the nearest hospital for appropriate treatment.

The seminar recommended the necessity of having a first aid kit in every home, school, and government institution, and training female staff in providing first aid in a safe and scientific manner.
