The Women's Affairs Unit at the College of Science, University of Basra, organized a seminar on the role of universities in raising awareness and actively contributing to elections.

The seminar aimed to familiarize attendees with the voting process, including the equipment and mechanisms used to conduct the process with high transparency, impartiality, and to prevent violations.

The seminar, presented by Ms. Amal Kadhim Jawad, Coordinator of the Women's Electoral Support Team, and Mr. Jawad Dhuwai' Sreijil, Coordinator of the Training and Development Department at the Independent High Electoral Commission's Basra Governorate Election Office, included an explanation of the voting mechanism and the most common errors that lead to a voter's vote being lost on election day.

The speakers emphasized the importance of women's participation and their active role in the political process and decision-making.
