Under the auspices of the president of the university, Prof. Dr. Mohannad Jawad Al-Esteemed, and under the supervision of the dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul Imam Al-Esteemed, and coordinated by the head of the Department of Pathological Analyses, Prof. Dr. Shirin Jawad Al-Ali Al-Esteemed, and the steering committee, the Department of Pathological Analyses at the Faculty of Science, University of Basra, organized an awareness initiative entitled "Step of Survival," organized by the teaching of Hoda Saeed Odeh, the teaching of Nour Saeed Abdullah, and the teaching of Marwa Salah.

Noor explained that the aim of the initiative is to spread awareness of early screening for breast cancer and highlight the importance of early screening and we seek through this type of events to break shame and silence and the participation of students in periodic screening campaigns to create a supportive environment for students
