The Physics Department at the College of Science, University of Basra, held a memorial service for the late Dr. Nouri Sabih Jarh, a lecturer in the department, in recognition of his scientific career and his sincere efforts in the service of higher education and scientific research.
The ceremony began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a reading of Surah Al-Fatiha to pray for his pure soul.
The ceremony included speeches in which colleagues referred to his academic generosity and distinguished contributions to the development of scientific work within the department, in addition to presenting an overview of his career and research achievements.
The ceremony concluded with an affirmation that his scientific and humanitarian impact will remain present in the memories of his colleagues and students.
